Leather Primer

Leather Primer is designed to chemically modify the leather
surface so subsequent coatings adhere to the primer layer, improving bond strength beyond what colourant alone can achieve. It is recommended for high-stress zones like seat bolsters and for severely damaged leather, where it can fill fine creases and support a more uniform topcoat.

Water-based, high environmental safety class as
described

1. Clean with Leather Ultimate Cleaner.
2. If needed, use Leather Degreaser, then degrease with Leather Alcohol Cleaner or Leather Liquid Degreaser.
3. Mix 5 to 15% Leather Primer with polyurethane curing agent Cross Linker X, depending on substrate.
4. Apply the first base coat with a sponge, then dry with a hair dryer. Drying with hot air after each coat is described as important.
5. Apply two coats with an airbrush, first vertical strokes, then horizontal strokes, drying between coats.
6. Apply the next two coats using diagonal strokes, again drying between coats, as described.
7. After mixing with Cross Linker X, use within 3 hours, and it is best to paint soon after applying the primer, as described.
