Overview

Leather Burnishing Gum is a colourless edge-finishing compound made from natural waxes and water-based polymers. Its controlled consistency makes it easy to spread and polish, producing smooth, refined leather edges with a professional appearance.

The product can also be used to polish and finish the reverse or fibre side of genuine leather. As it is burnished, friction gently warms the wax, deepening the edge colour and developing a polished shine.

How to Use

1. Prepare and shape the leather edge before application.
2. Use an edge beveller or suitable cutting tool to create the desired rounded or rectangular profile.
3. Apply a thin layer of Leather Burnishing Gum using a felt dauber, edge applicator or sponge.
4. Allow the product to dry for approximately 10 to 20 seconds.
5. Polish the edge using a slicker or clean cloth.
6. Friction generated during polishing will warm the wax, slightly darkening the edge and developing its shine.
7. Repeat the application and polishing process until the desired colour depth and finish are achieved.
